Do You have a Twitter account which gets unnoticed all the time? Are you not getting enough engagement on Twitter? Well, this article is for you!
The true value of Twitter lies in its engagement. Unless twitterites engage with you on Twitter, you are wasting your time. Here, we give some Twitter techniques to keep users engaged with your attractive tweets.
1) Keep it simple with less than 110 characters
Tweets look ugly if they exceed more than 110 characters. Shorter tweets get 17% higher engagement than tweets which are long. There is a reason behind this. If the tweet is short, it will be easier for the users to add their own comments and retweet it.
On the contrary, if you use all the 140 characters, then your followers need to edit your tweet and add their own before retweeting them.
Basically, people are lazy, tweets that need more editing work gets lesser retweets. So, limit with just 110 characters and less.
2) Tweet with images
Tweets with images and videos give you higher engagement. You can get a 150% increase in retweets just by adding images and videos. The ratio of an image to a non-image tweet is 70:30.
It is quite easy to create a tweet with just some text, but if you want more traffic, use images.
3) Tweet on Saturdays and Sundays
Weekends are not just time to take a break from Twitter. Schedule your tweets on Saturdays and Sundays to get more traffic. According to a survey, tweets are 17% more engaged on weekends than on weekdays.
When popular brands tweet between 8:00 A.M., to 7:00 P.M., they receive 30% higher engagement than tweets that fall on non-busy hours, from 7:00 P.M., to 8:00 A.M.
4) Ask for retweets
It is shocking to say that only less than 1% of the brands have been asking for retweets. When you clearly ask your followers to retweet, then surely you get one from them. Do not miss this opportunity.
Here’s a small tip, use the complete word “Retweet” rather than using the abbreviation “RT.”
The retweet rate for “Retweet” requests is 23 times more than that of “RT” requests.
But wait, don’t bombard your followers with your constant requests.
5) Stay engaged with your followers
Try to acknowledge your followers to the possible extent. You have to give a little if you want to receive. Constantly monitor your posts, if someone takes some time out to share your post, send a simple ‘Thank you’ post. It is impossible to acknowledge everybody, but try best to retweet and reply your followers.
Well, apart from following these simple tips, you can also use hashtags and internal links to make your tweets more attractive and reachable to the audiences.
