After 45 days, Google confirmed that the subscription will cost Rs. 99. Google Play is quite cheaper than that of its competitors Apple Music (Rs. 120 per month), Gaana as well as Saavn (Rs. 99 per month). However, this minimal difference in price will likely not greatly influence subscriber’s decision on which one to go with. Play Music Unlimited offers Google’s entire library of both national as well as international music. It is also available in a wide range of Indian languages on the web and on its mobile apps.

It also offers a free cloud storage to upload and store over 50,000 tracks of your choice. However, there are some limitations which come with this Google Play Music. They lack a podcast section like the one available to users in the US and Canada.
This will surely give tough competition to Gaana and Saavn, which have the highest number of users in India. Moreover, Google Play Music offers radio services to its free users. This includes playlists depending on the mood, activities, and situations. Situation based songs are actually determined by a location based algorithm which assesses your location and analyzes whether you are at work, home or traveling.
On the whole, Google Play Music has over 40 million local as well as international tracks. You can find this app in Android, iOS, and the web.
