Prime Minister Narendra Modi Talks About The Success Of Digital India
Days after the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, interacted with the beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Yojana (PMJAY,) a live session was held today across the country to speak about the success of Digital India. The main objective of this session is to bring closer the benefits of technology improvements, especially in the rural parts of India.

Not only is Digital India turning out to be a massive success in urban centres, it is pushing people in villages to make their presence felt across different sectors. “We ensured that the advantages of technology are not restricted to a select few but are there for all sections of society. We strengthened the network of CSCs,” Modi said in the session. Launched four years ago, Digital India was formed with one simple aim: to connect the youth of the country to the endless possibilities available in a digital country. “Every aspect of digital empowerment has been worked on, from rolling out fibre optics in villages to digital literacy,” Modi said.

The Digital India Programme is armed with the vision of transforming every village, town and city of India into a digitally empowered place. In his talk, the Prime Minister urged Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLE) to install the Bhim App in order to facilitate paying for goods and services digitally.
