From a crestfallen lady to a strong determined woman, J.K. Rowling has come a long way!
Here are a few life lessons one can learn from this inspirational lady, J.K. Rowling
1. Do what you love
Doing what you love despite being criticized is one of the most beautiful things to do. Pursuing something you love will make you work harder. Besides, if you are not working on something that is aligned with your passion, you will feel unfulfilled and gain happiness in your life.
Rowling said I am an extraordinarily lucky person, doing what I love best in the world. I’m sure that I will always be a writer.
2. Poverty itself is romanticized only by fools. It means a thousand petty humiliations and hardships.
According to Rowling, one must not romanticize poverty and hardships. There are few people who associate poverty with spirituality. It may be time for you to romanticize wealth and abundance and look forward to bringing your gifts to this world.
3. Talent and intelligence never yet inoculated anyone against the caprice of the fates.
Your education does not define your intelligence. Period.
Keep moving ahead with your dreams and desires and do not ever give up. You write your own fate so buckle up and work hard toward achieving your goals!
4. The moment you are old enough to take the wheel, responsibility lies with you.
Rowling says I do not blame my parents…there is an expiry date for blaming your parents for steering you in the wrong direction. I discovered that I had a strong will and more discipline than I had suspected.
You are solely responsible for whatever and whichever decision you make. Do not blame others for your own mistakes. Grow up, take the responsibility and learn from them.
5. Deal with criticism.
It is a known fact that If you do not encounter any criticism in your life, you will not be successful! So, whatever you do, be it good or bad, people will always have something negative to say. Ignore them and carry on with your thing! Do not give a damn, have a positive perspective toward your life and leave a great benchmark wherever you go!
At the end of the day, it is you and your life, nobody is responsible for the circumstances you face, but you! So, take the lead and go on and achieve your dreams!
