Satya Nadella : The Future Is A Smart Cloud
Speaking at the Build Conference, Microsoft Chief Executive Satya Nadella urged developers to make technology more trustworthy and bring Artifical Intelligence (AI) to the mainstream.
His speech resonated with the concerns raised by US and Indian nationals regarding the safety, hacking, tampering of elections, and allegations of misuse among others.
Nadella urged developers to build technology that brings people together rather than help in creating Geoge Orwell’s dystopian 1984 society where Big Brother watches over all.
He asked developers gathered from around the world in Seattle, on Wednesday, to “empower people with technology and amplify their capabilities.”

At the annual Build Conference, Executive Vice President of Artificial Intelligence Harry Shum, emphasized the importance of artificial intelligence, spoke about Microsoft infusing all of its products with AI which involved machine learning and speech recognition along with enabling machines to recognize what they ‘see.’
While AI is already getting a strong hold in people’s homes in the form of digital assistants, Microsft’s approach of letting developers customize gesture commands, voice recognition and more is proving to be unique when compared to others. Big names such as Apple, Google and Amazon are also pushing for AI as the next big leap with huge potential.
Microsoft also made a few announcements at the event. Nadella told developers that Windows 10 operating system is now on 500 million devices. It also announced Microsoft Teams was open for all and any developer can publish for its Team applications and its Visual Studio will now be available on Apple produced Mac devices.
