This Google app makes your travel time shorter, by letting you discover routes free of traffic and easy to navigate roads! While you know the basics behind Google Maps, there are so many things hidden beneath the web sheets. Here are some unknown facts about Google Maps that will definitely blow your skirt up!

1. A discovery was made 

Did you know that the largest natural bridge on earth was virtually unknown to the rest of the world, until it was observed on Google maps!

2. Weed oh weed!

Swiss Police used Google Earth to find a two acre weed farm! On a side note, this discovery was made by accident!

3. Always for Barrack Obama

When you zoom into the White House on Google Maps, you can still see Barrack Obama’s face! How cool is that?

4. Google Maps, you disaster causer! 

Nicaraguan troops once accidentally marched into Costa Rica, destroyed a protected forest, dredged the San Juan river and dumped all the stuff they scooped out of it into Costa Rican territory, all because their commander used Google maps when planning, instead of military charts. Oh Google Maps, you destroyer of peace!

5. North Korea does not want to be found 

Did you know that Google Maps does not work in North Korea? No, really. If you look for places in North Korea, Google Maps does not show anything!

6. The Google Forest 

There is a rainforest in Africa nicknamed the ‘Google Forest’ because it was discovered by scientists using Google Earth!
