1. His salary 

Despite both of Musk’s companies being international successes, Musk takes home a nominal salary to the tune of $ 1. Would you ever do that,? If if your business did as well as Musk’s did?

2. Musk starred in a Simpson’s show! 

Did you know Musk starred in an episode of The Simpsons? Aired on 25 January, 2015, the episode (titled The Musk Who Fell To Earth) was focused on Musk, where he played himself. Not bad at all, right?

3. He created and sold a video game when he was 12 

In 1984, a 13 year old Musk knew he had to do something to entertain himself. Bored with all the things every 12 year old does, Musk created a brand new video game. Not only did he create it, he also coded it and sold the film to a successful audience! In fact, a young Musk received $ 500 for his hard work. 4. He is the real life Tony Stark

Okay, I know this one is quite a known fact, but it still had to be included in the list! When the first Iron Man film was released, director Jon Favreau explained that Musk inspired Downey’s interpretation of the character, Tony Stark. So inspired was Favreau by Musk, that he created a special character just for him in Iron Man 2. On a side note, Musk also made a guest appearance in the much loved show, Big Bang Theory!

5. Musk owns one of James Bond’s cars! 

As a kid, Musk loved watching James Bond drive the Lotus Espirit off a pier in the film, The Spy Who Loved Me. Growing up, he slowly realised why he loved the film so much. It was not for the love of the story but for the love of the car that drove Musk into a bizarre obsession of sorts! His desire to have the car was so great that in the year 2013, he bought the Lotus Espirit for a cool $ 866,000 in an auction! How cool is that?
