Every year, technology becomes more simplified and makes your life easier.  Getting more done in less time seems to be the order of the day and with every gadget and tool coming with more hacks than you thought were available, life really is simpler.  Check out these cheats and tricks to make your life more productive this year!

1. Move over texting, voice commands are the new thing

Today, the technology is so advanced, both Mac and iOS now come with built in voice recognition tools.  Not only are your laptops programmed with the recognition tool, applications like Google Docs also come with this facility.  Click on Tools, then Voice Typing and see if you can speak out your documents faster than you can type them.

2. Get more room by expanding your desktops

Ever thought your desktop screen was too small and wasn’t large enough to accommodate all your data?  Then this cheat is for you. Today, both MAC and Windows come with a feature which enables you to work in a way which feels like you have multiple desktops at the same time.  For Macs, the expansion software is called Spaces and on laptops with Windows, the tool is found in the Task View tab.

3. Turn on the Magnifier on your iPhone

While the iPhone’s flashlight is a handy tool, it only helps you read every little detail in dimly lit areas.  Give up not, sweet ones, because there is hope built into your phone!  Called the Magnifier, this tool helps you everytime you need to read things which the naked eye can’t easily see.  To turn this tool on, go to Settings, General, Accessibility and then finally, to Magnifier. Once you activate it, tap the Home button thrice and bingo.  You can now see even without the annoying flashlight!

4. How to lock your Android phone without too much effort

While tools like facial recognition and screen locks are being used to protect your phone from prying eyes, it is still important to have an automatic lock on it, right?  To keep your Android phone perpetually safe and protected, we discovered a cool new trick. When you are at a trusted location (like your home or office,) the phone automatically unlocks itself and only turns back on when you are back at the trusted location or when you use your phone.  To activate this feature, all you have to do is to go to Settings > Security or Lock Screen and Security > Smart Lock.  Once you reach the Smart Lock feature, a list of options appear on the screen.  Pick the one with which you are the most comfortable and use that. The moment you figure that out, your phone is completely protected!

When technology is used the right way, not only can you simplify your tasks, you can also have quite a lot of fun.  Try these cheats and tricks and tell us whether they work, in the comments below!
