Industries Leading the Startup Game In 2018

2018 as a year is soon coming to a close, with the startup world blooming and booming! There are several industries doing well this year, with a select few performing exceptionally well. With only a couple of months left for this year to close, here is our list of industries that have overperformed in the last few months!

1. The disaster relief industry

With so many natural calamities and disasters hitting the world this past year, people world over realized the importance of setting up relief camps. One of the ways to help people in affected areas was by creating companies targeted towards this very area, thereby turning the disaster relief field into an industry of its own!

2. Health care

With technology evolving, there are several areas which are affected positively, health care being one of the key areas. What makes things all the more interesting is that the health care industry is improving for not only the tech side of this field, but also for the women care. Startups are now working toward offering services which range from at home fertility testing to birth control tracking to smart menstruation tracking services.

3. Travel

With technology improving every day, travel has become affordable. When cab services like Ola and Uber started, they opened the door to several new possibilities. Take, for example, Lyft. This particular service left its competition behind in the dust, by creating exciting and new offers! Not bad for a new field at all.

4. Blockchain

While blockchain in itself is not really a field for startups, it is still quite a blooming industry. From cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin to OneCoin, the monetary world is slowly shifting to the online front. The shifting finance world is well represented, with a strong focus on the different growing currencies.
