Maintaining clients is a very important thing, especially for a startup. Your clients are not only your strength but also your biggest advocates. With a little effort, you can take care of them better and entice new clients to come on board and stay on for longer! Here are a few tips which could be useful in impressing your new clients and in keeping them on board!

1. Be very clear with your information

Being transparent with new clients is extremely important. Lay out all your information on the table and let your clients know about what you are offering them. The more open you are, the more your clients trust you. A trusting relationship is always a fruitful one.

2. Create valuable content

Content that has a long shelf life is always valuable. Generating valuable content shows you are at the top of your game and that you are not to be messed with. Clients will also be likely to share your content or recommend your services to their connections based on publicly available content.

3. Show authority in your field

Let your old, new and recurring clients know you are the best thing that could happen to them. Be it in terms of the work you do or the amount of time you take to deliver the task at hand, everything needs to work in your favour. This shows your clients you are committed to your work and are at the best in everything you do.

4. Be decisive

Clients hire you because you are the expert and you offer them a solution to their problem. Every communication made between you and the client should end on a strong note, with a decision made. When it comes to your clients, you cannot afford to be indecisive. Do not use the words ‘if’ or ‘maybe’ in your emails or in any of your communications. Be confident and your work will speak for you.

5. Add a personal touch

A personal touch goes a long way in ensuring your clients happiness. It shows that you care and enforces your position as the top of mind choice for your customers. More often than not, when your client knows you care about them, half the work is done right there.
