OnePlus 5: All You Need To Know About This Latest Flagship Device
Since OnePlus One was launched way back in 2014, OnePlus has managed to keep a loyal consumer base waiting for every new release. OnePlus One, OnePlus 2, OnePlus 3T have been some of the best-selling phones giving big shots Apple and Samsung some serious competition.
Their latest flagship killer device OnePlus 5 is to be unveiled later today and has managed to create quite a buzz in the Android community. So before the official unveiling of OnePlus 5, we’ve compiled a list of all the things that can be expected from this device.
Let’s start with the biggie! All of the OnePlus phones have always had good cameras. OnePlus 5 will take it one step further with a dual camera using a standard and telephoto lens combination. The Verge reported that the main camera will be a 16 megapixel Sony unit with a f/1.7 aperture lens while the second camera will have a 20-megapixel f/2.6 telephoto lens.

OnePlus has already confirmed that OnePlus 5 will also include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset with 6GB and 8GB RAM options. The storage variants haven’t been revealed yet but rumors suggest 64GB and 128GB editions can be expected. OnePlus also confirmed that OnePlus 5 will have Quick Charge 4.0.
Portugal based website Technoblog revealed that OnePlus 5 will be sporting a 5.5 inch full HD display. The screen is also said to support DCI P3 colors meaning the OnePlus 5 screen will be able to deliver digital camera like viewer experience with support for vibrant greens and reds. Whether the phone will support an audio jack is still a mystery.
Although the phone won’t be water resistant just like its previous models this fact is more than compensated by its other features. From the image released by OnePlus official account, it might be safe to say that the body will be an aluminum body with a continuous hard edge. Software, on the other hand, is expected to be OxygenOS, which will most likely be a customized version of Android Nougat.

Although the pricing of the latest phone is said to be higher than their previous models it is still expected to be within the affordable flagship segment. But it’s only a matter of a few hours before this flagship killer will be unveiled around the world and 2 days for its official launch in India.
