Facebook Finally Working On Adding GIF Button For Comments

Facebook the largest social media network is finally working on a GIF button for comments. Yes, Facebook will begin testing a GIF button that lets users post GIFs from services like Tenor and Giphy as comments.

A spokesperson from Facebook confirmed this news saying: “Everybody loves a good GIF. People would love it if they can be able to use them in comments. We will share more when we can. Currently, this is just a test.”

After this test, this will be available to a small group of users, and later slowly it will be rolled out to everyone who loves it. This GIF button will be quite similar to that of Facebook Messenger. This will allow users to browse trending GIFs as well as search for specific reactions in line.

Interestingly, Facebook will soon be adding a new feature ‘Dislike’ to make Messenger more fun and engaging.

Facebook celebrated its first anniversary of ‘Reactions’ and recorded around 300 billion Reactions on posts. And the ‘Love’ reaction was used maximum times by its over 1.79 billion users.
