Google Maps Now Helps You Find Your Parked Car

The web mapping and navigation service developed by Google, Google maps is getting updated regularly with many new features. It enables a user to find places, navigate to destinations and it has come out with a new feature “Save Your Parking” which allows you to tag your parking location on the map. It also gives live traffic status nearby.

The beta version of this feature was let out a month ago, the full version is available now.

The working of this feature is almost similar on both android and iOS supported devices. On clicking the blue dot on maps, the user can save his parking location. Once the location is saved, it can be seen on the map, the user can also save additional information like the level of parking and the details related to the parking meter. There are some additional features like sharing the parking location with friends and saving the image of the parking place.

Jeff Albertson, Product Manager, Google Maps says “ This is enhanced version of auto parking detection feature already available in Google Maps for iOS. Auto parking detection facility saves the location of parking when you are connected to a car through Bluetooth or USB and leaves the car disconnecting the pair.”

Well, next time when you forget your parking spot, this feature of Google Maps will come to your rescue.
